Armand Parisien is the President of Canada Malting Company. He is located at the Canadian head office in Calgary, Alberta.
Armand possesses a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. He is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Armand has an extensive career in the malting industry with Canada Malting Company. He began as a Maltster Trainee and progressed through a variety of more senior roles with CMC including Assistant Maltster, Head Maltster at the Thunder Bay plant, Malting Manager in Calgary, Plant Manager, General Manager of Coastal Containers, Director of Supply Chain and Director of Operations for GrainCorp's North American malting operations. As Director of Operations, he was responsible for leading Canada Malting and Great Western Malting operations throughout North America including plants at Pocatello, Idaho, Vancouver, Washington, Thunder Bay, Montreal and Calgary. In 2015, Armand was promoted to the President of Canada Malting Company.
In his role as President of Canada Malting, Armand is responsible for comprehensive management responsibility for all facets of the CMC Business Unit including strategic execution, business planning, operations and all aspects of administration for the business unit.
Carlo Ricci is the Director of CMC North America & Export Sales. He is located in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada.
Carlo has extensive commercial and logistic experience in the malting industry gathered over 20 years of managing and developing domestic and international customers.
He is currently responsible for CMC North American and Export Sales and Logistics.
Carlo has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Regina.
Rich Joy is the Director of Malting and Technical Services for Canada Malting. He is located at the Canadian head office in Calgary, Alberta.
Rich possesses a Ph.D. in Developmental Plant Physiology as well as a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Calgary. Rich held postdoctoral fellowship positions with the University of Calgary and the University of Tohoku in Japan and spent time as a research associate with the National Research Council of Canada.
Following his time with the NRC, Rich began an extensive career in the Malting industry with Rahr Malting. He progressed from the Manager of Quality Control and Technical Services to Technical Director, Plant Manager and eventually Vice-President of Operations and Technical Director. Rich joined Canada Malting in 2013 as Director of Malting and Technical Services.
In his role with Canada Malting, Rich is responsible for quality, technical services, food safety and our North America labs for both Canada Malting and Great Western Malting in North America.
Dale Paul is the Director of Human Resources for Canada Malting, Great Western Malting, and Country Malt/Brewcraft. He is located in Calgary, Alberta.
Dale has an extensive human resources background gathered from over 25 years of progressively responsible HR experience with previous companies in oil and gas, forest products, aerospace, education and healthcare.
He is currently responsible for leading all aspects of GrainCorp's people practices and HR product/service offering across North America.
Dale earned an MBA from the University of Calgary as well as a B.Sc. from the University of Regina.
Robert Chappell is the Director of Grain for Canada Malting. He is located at the Canadian head office in Calgary, Alberta.
Robert possesses a Chemistry Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Malting Diploma from the University of Birmingham.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Robert has extensive experience in the malting industry from previous senior roles with Prairie Malt, Westcan Malting and Canada Malting Company. He has served in a variety of roles including production, resource planning, barley procurement and purchasing. In 1998, Robert joined the Westcan Malting Company to become their President. During his tenure with WestCan, he led the completion of the Westcan tower in Alix, Alberta.
In his role with Canada Malting, Robert is responsible for the procurement of nearly 1,000,000 MT of malting barley for their North American facilities.
Bob is the Operations Director with Great Western Malting & Canada Malting. He is located in Vancouver WA. Bob has a BSc (Hons) in Science; an MBA; a Master Maltster diploma and has the IBD’s Diplomas in both Distilling and Brewing.
Bob started malting in 1985 and has worked in various roles in malting plants in the UK, Canada, USA and Russia.
As the Operations Director, he is responsible for all facets of the operations of the malting plants at Vancouver, Pocatello, Calgary, Thunder Bay and Montreal.
